So for years now I wanted to purchase and try Nars Sheer Glow foundation. Why? You may ask. Well it has been hyped by nearly every beauty blogger. (some even wore it for their wedding).
1. IT DOESN'T COME WITH A PUMP
Yes I know not every foundation comes with a pump, but it sure does help! I have wasted so many makeup wipes removing the excess product from the back of my hand. I find it makes the application messier and more of a task to put on the foundation.
2. THE PRICE
Ok I know Nars is expensive anyways. I don't mind spending money on a foundation if I really like it. I don't like this foundation, therefore I do mind.
3. COLOUR MATCH PROBS
I not only spent ages searching on the internet to choose my perfect shade, I went to multiple Nars stores and got colour matched twice. (I got colour matched to two different shades) I found it personally impossible to find my colour match unless I mixed two of their shades together. Nah mate not buying two of them. I ended up getting Santa Fe.
4. I DON'T LIKE THE FEEL OF THE FOUNDATIONI don't know if it's the way I'm applying the foundation but it feels horrid of my skin, like a cakey feeling.
5. THE NAME OF THE FOUNDATION IS A LIE!!
Sheer glow. What do you you get from that name? I certainly do not glow when I wear this and it's certainly not sheer coverage. I have combo/dry skin and it's actually managed to make my skin look like a dull, caked oil slick. eww.
6. Back to the bottle again..... IT'S NOT TRAVEL FRIENDLY
I do actually like the look of the bottle, but as it's glass it's not very travel friendly. The lid on the top doesn't twist properly shut like the images I've taken. It closes at an angle which is not good for my OCD.
Well that's the reasons why I dislike this foundation. I'm sure I'm one of few that don't actually like it. Have you tried it? Did you like it?
Can't wait to read your responses!
I have done a few other foundation reviews.....
